March 27, Our second peer-reviewed paper “Sensitivity to point-like sources of the ALTO atmospheric particle detector array, designed for 200GeV–50TeV gamma-ray astronomy” has been accepted for publication in The Journal of High Energy Astrophysics (JHEAp). January 10, the ALTO project was featured in Smålandsposten with an article and a video.
January 18, Mohanraj presented ALTO to the children of Växjö Internationella Grundskola. The children were also asked to help with the signal over background discrimination with a challenging game!
April 6-7, Linnaeus University hosted a Hackathon promoting Open Science where our research group proposed a scientific case on the analysis of the ALTO prototype real data. The group who chose to work on the ALTO data won the competition as having had “the best idea”.
May 13, Yvonne welcomed students from Katedralskolan at the ALTO prototype facility.
On June the 28th, Linnaeus University publishes a News Item on ALTO in English and in Swedish
On July the 10th, Yvonne has been invited for an interview about ALTO at the radio channel P4 Kronoberg Sveriges Radio during the “Förmiddag i P4 Kronoberg med Ida Berg”.
On September the 29th, Yvonne gave a talk on water-Cherenkov detectors at Linnaeus University at the locally organized Astronomins Dag och Natt
On October the 10th Michael has given an internal seminar on ALTO at the meeting of the High Energy Astrophysics group at the Astroparticule et Cosmologie laboratory in Paris, France.

On September 23rd Yvonne is in charge of the organization of Astronomi Dag och Natt in Växjö. There will be presentations around very-high-energy and high-energy astronomy where our group will talk, among other things, about ALTO. There will also be activities around astronomy for children and adults. Here you may find the poster of the event.
In September, Populär Astronomi, a popular science magazine in Swedish for the topics astronomy and space published an interview to Yvonne by Robert Cumming, where ALTO and the “vattentankar från Torsås” are introduced.
